About
Mostly Keeping It Together
Useful by Nature.

I'm Stephanie — a single mom of three, a business owner, and a person who has said "are you going to school with no shoes on?" more times than I can count. I started Mostly Keeping It Together because I was tired of advice that assumed I had unlimited time, a spotless house, or partner that I can rely on.
I don't have any of those things. What I do have is a background in child development and speech-language pathology, a household that runs on systems (most of the time), and a genuine love of researching products before I spend money on them.
This site is where all of that overlaps: practical ideas for mom life, kids and learning, home organization, health in midlife, and the things I think are actually worth buying. Every recommendation is something I would spend my own money on — and often have.
The tagline "Useful by Nature" is the filter. Cute is great. Useful is better. If it doesn't make real life easier, more fun, or less expensive per use, it doesn't end up here.
Thanks for being here. I hope you find something that makes your day or brain feel a little more together.
